 Finalizing Character Plan

We are quite satisfied with this iteration, as it will heavily influence our character plan based on its design.

Anatomy Practice

I decided to start sculpting the skeletal structure of the cat, which isn't required. But I figure it will be great practice for anatomy study and sculpting skills.

Reference board using PureRef (Super useful!!!)

I begin sculpting by working with low-polygon models as they offer greater flexibility for shaping larger forms, often using the Move brush for this purpose. Next, I start refining the basic structure using the ClayBuild brush. Finally, I use the DamStandard brush to add intricate details.

Sack walk animation

Spline:

Weekly Report: Enhance the sack animation using overlapping action and follow through

Ensuring that the loose fabric or ties on the sack show some subtle delays with each step is crucial. It's all about making the animation feel authentic, like how real objects would behave. This adds weight to the sack and makes it feel more alive in its environment. Also, it's important to avoid having the sack move too symmetrically. Adding a bit of offset movement makes the animation look smoother and more natural to watch, flowing more seamlessly before the eyes.

Additionally, it's important to consider what happens after each step. The fabric might continue to sway or bounce a bit as the sack settles down. These extra movements add a layer of realism, capturing the organic motion of a walking sack. By focusing on these small details, the sack animation would be a lot more realistic-looking and feel more natural.
